When Sabdiel reached out to plan a secret engagement for Sarah on Lake Nicaragua, we built a seamless cover story alongside Isletas Granada Rentals (@isletasdegranadarentals). To keep Sarah completely unsuspecting, we framed the trip as a promotional photoshoot for their private luxury yacht charter service.
Chasing the Light in Granada’s Islets
Departing from the Granada port around 4:00 PM, a sudden downpour left dramatic clouds trailing over the islets. Navigating shifting natural light in a tropical environment requires speed and adaptability. The moment a warm, subtle glow broke through the sky over Lake Nicaragua, I gave Sabdiel our agreed-upon signal.
Sabdiel surprised Sarah with a giant bouquet before dropping to one knee on the deck of the yacht, surrounded by the quiet landscape of the islets. She said YES!
To offer prospective travel clients a true behind-the-scenes look at a destination proposal in Granada, I also captured Point-of-View (POV) footage using Meta Glasses. This technique preserved the raw atmosphere of the trip while keeping the documentation completely seamless.
